Paax GNP Festival returns with twelve days of extraordinary music

Under the direction of Alondra de la Parra, the festival’s third edition extends its duration

In 2022, guests, members, and external guests attended Hotel Xcaret Arte to witness, for the first time, a unique show: Paax GNP Festival mixed different disciplines and integrated renowned talents from all over the world along five days for its first edition, increasing up to ten last year, and reaching a total of twelve days for the third in 2024.

Alondra de la Parra, acclaimed orchestra conductor and proudly Mexican, has worked with the best ensembles in the world, and her experience has allowed her to bring together extraordinary talents from all around the world to form The Impossible Orchestra, which will be playing at the main performances and accompanying special guests.

Unmatched guests and shows

Among the special guests, Veracruz-born singer-songwriter Natalia Lafourcade stands out, who has collaborated with Alondra de la Parra since 2010 and performed with great success at the Festival of Life and Death Traditions in 2023. For this occasion, Lafourcade will debut in the Dark Side section, performing her best songs, especially her album “De todas las flores” in a unique orchestral interpretation.

In parallel, the Paax GNP Festival will incorporate presentations like Spirit of Fire, which merges dancing with masterpieces from legendary composers like Manuel De Falla, Joaquín Rodrigo, Arturo Márquez, and Igor Stravinsky. Also noteworthy is the Candlepaax piano recital by Thomas Enhco, a sublime experience in the light of hundreds of candles. Likewise, symphonic concerts, chamber music, two ballet galas, an opera gala, and much more will be included.

“For us, the Paax GNP 2024 Festival is more than an event. It represents a tribute to Mexico’s cultural richness, and at Xcaret, we are proud to host this celebration for the third time. Through events like these, we reaffirm our commitment to being advocates for Mexican art, offering experiences that transcend and exalt our cultural identity,” said Akis Neoclus, Executive Manager at Hoteles Xcaret.

The festival’s social commitment

Through the “Social Harmony” initiative, Mexican children and youth receive excellent musical education completely free of charge. The results of their training are reflected in a special presentation where these young people share the stage with some of the world’s best soloists.
