EXPLORING THE WATERS
At Xel-Há, the marine biodiversity becomes the main attraction for swimming and snorkeling enthusiasts. The variety of fish that nestle in its waters, adding both life and color, are better admired with the snorkel equipment provided at the Park. But what if you could go further? Gaze or delve into the depths of the sea with these exciting options:
Power Snorkel
If a pair of fins is not enough to propel you while snorkeling, then test the speed and power of the Power Snorkel. This powerful but compact jet will propel you at the speed you want, either on the surface or into the depths. Try the fast spins and dare to try the fun tricks and challenges that the guides will teach you.

Sea Trek and Sea Trek Discover
For an exploration that’s closer to walking than swimming, Sea Trek allows visitors to explore the bottom of the cove on foot! With the help of a helmet, a rope and a guide, it will be possible to observe the wildlife that lives at Xel-Há, including colorful fish, rays and even sea turtles.
Sea Trek Discover expands the experience to children, with smaller gear but the same fun. If you come as a family, do not hesitate to book a group walk at the bottom of the sea.

- Duration: 30 min (5-minute introduction and 25-minute underwater walk).
- Minimum age required: 8 years (the child must be taller than 3.90 ft and the helmet must fit).
Sea Trek Discover details
- Schedule: 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (every half hour).
- Maximum depth: 3 meters.
- Duration: 30 min (5-minute introduction and 25-minute underwater walk).
- Minimum age required: 8 years (the child must be taller than 3.90 ft and the helmet must fit).
Snuba Caleta and Snuba Cenote
As the ideal combination between scuba and snorkel, Snuba maintains the essence of diving but replaces the oxygen tank with a tube connected to a raft that follows the tour route from the surface. This allows for greater freedom of movement during the ride, allowing you to descend, ascend, and explore without putting weight on your back, or worrying about surfacing for air.
As their names indicate, Snuba Caleta occurs in one of the coves of the park, and Snuba Cenote takes the tour to the depths of one of the cenotes (underground lakes) of the Park.

- Maximum depth: 9.8 feet.
- Duration: 1 hour (20-minute welcome, directions and practice; 40-minute ride in the water).

Snuba Cenote details
- Schedule: 10:00 a.m., 11:15 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 2:45 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.
- Maximum depth: 22.9 feet.
- Duration: 1 hour (20-minute welcome, instructions and practice; 40-minute tour in the water).
- Minimum age: 12 years (it is important to know how to swim).
ENCOUNTER WITH SEA ANIMALS
At Xel-Há, our species conservation programs find a way to be integrated as educational attractions for visitors. The Park has two close contact activities that are unmissable if you want to see, feed and co-exist with rays or manatees up close.
Encounter with Manatees
The peace transmitted by these majestic mammals makes them an ideal species to start a contact with sea species.
Thanks to an educational approach, you will be able to get to know the most important aspects of manatees, feed them and even swim with them.
Manatee Encounter details
- Schedule: 11:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
- Duration: 40 min (20-minute welcome and interaction on the platform and 20-minute snorkeling).
- Minimum age: 5 to 10 years old (children must be accompanied by an adult).
Encounter with Stingrays and Stingray Kids
In this interactive activity, you will be able to learn all about the Southern Stingray, a completely harmless species, while keeping in close contact with them.
There is an exclusive version for children that charms everyone who experiences it, since learning about their anatomy, behavior and habitat occurs in a dynamic way.

- Duration: 30 min (5-minute welcome and 25-minute explanation and interaction).

ACTIVITIES FOR ADVENTURE LOVERS
Although adventure is not the main focus of a visit to Xel-Há, there are a couple of options in case the descent from the Lighthouse was not enough:
Zip Bike Xel-Há
Reaching areas that would otherwise be inaccessible, the Zip Bike is an ingenious combination of a zip line and a bicycle, powered by pedaling. The tour through the Maya jungle will take you to admire various cenotes, exuberant flora and fauna and even some fossilized rocks that date back thousands of years.

By far the fastest activity available in Xel-Há. Board a speedboat that reaches up to 55 miles per hour as it plows through the Caribbean Sea and experiences 360° turns just off the coast.

- Duration: 30 minutes (5-minute safety instructions and vest placement, 20-minute ride and 5-minute farewell).
- Maximum capacity: 35 people (the capacity of the boat may vary according to the operation of the Park and weather conditions).
RELAXING ACTIVITIES
Finally, if you are one of those who cannot stop pampering yourself and your loved ones, at Xel-Há you will find two options to elevate yourself into a state of peace that can only be achieved after a pleasant tour through the river.
Fish Therapy
This alternative therapy is as relaxing as it is natural. Simply sit on the shore of the cove and enjoy the tickling sensation of cleanliness caused by the dozens of fish that feed through exfoliation, while leaving your skin clean, soft and regenerated.
